Create & Manage Items

Add a new item

  1. In the menu tree, click + Add item (or the plus button at the bottom of the list).
  2. Choose the item kind you want (Icon/Text, Big Image, Group Title, Blank Space, Tab Marker…).
  3. The new item appears at the end of the list with default content.
  4. Click the item to open the Edit Item panel and fill in the details.
  5. Press Update → Save.

New items are always added at the bottom. Drag them up to the position you want after adding.

Reorder items

By drag and drop

  • Hover over the drag handle (≡) on the left of an item.
  • Drag up / down to change order within the same level.
  • Drag right to indent — the item becomes a child of the item above it.
  • Drag left to outdent — the item moves back up one level.

By keyboard shortcut (while an item is selected)

Key Action
↑ Move up (Mac: Cmd+↑ / Win: Alt+↑)
↓ Move down (Mac: Cmd+↓ / Win: Alt+↓)
→ Indent — item becomes a child of the item above
← Outdent — item moves back to the parent level

Shortcuts only work when the cursor is hovering over the menu tree and the item is selected (blue outline).

Edit an item

  1. Click the item → Edit Item panel opens.
  2. Change the fields you need.
  3. Press Update to save the changes to that item.

Press Cancel to close the panel without saving.

Duplicate an item

  1. Hover over the item → the quick action menu appears.
  2. Click Copy (or press C).
  3. A copy appears immediately below the original, with all content and settings preserved.
  4. Edit the copy as needed.

Delete an item

  1. Hover over the item → the quick action menu appears.
  2. Click Delete (or press Del / Backspace on Mac).
  3. A confirmation dialog appears — click Confirm to permanently delete.

Note: Deleting a parent item also deletes all its child items. This cannot be undone after confirmation.

Undo / Redo

Shortcut Action
Ctrl+Z / Cmd+Z Undo the last action
Ctrl+Y / Cmd+Shift+Z Redo

Undo history only exists for the current session — reloading the page clears it.

Save the menu

After adding, reordering, or deleting items:

  • Click Save in the toolbar, or press Ctrl+S / Cmd+S.
  • Hold Shift while pressing Save to save and immediately reload the simulator.

Changes are not visible to your customers until you Save.
